Doorbell cameras won’t deter package thefts and neither will wardrobe malfunctions as one Texas woman proved.
A Houston homeowner caught a woman on camera taking off their their package. What makes this crime different is that the thief was bold enough to show her face, but also everything else.
Between parking and running to grab the package at the front door, the thief’s top slipped down. She didn’t let that slow her down though because she was able to take off with her ill-gotten goods.
CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Package thieves will usually stop at nothing to claim their prize. For this woman, even losing her top did NOT slow her down…. andddd it was ALL caught on camera. 😳😳 Precinct 1 and @ConstableRosen are investigating. @KHOU pic.twitter.com/RsqLbGdQBg

The thief wasn’t even bothered when the homeowner started knocking on their own door to scare her off.
Ironically enough, the thief stole a dress from Nordstrom. Hopefully it wasn’t a sleeveless dress.
Harris County authorities are already on the case, KHOUreported.
“We’ve got some suspects in mind. We got a pretty clear look at the vehicle and of the person,” Constable Alan Rosen told the station.
In Texas, porch pirates can earn some serious jail time. Package theft is a third-degree felony and punishment ranges from up to one year in jail and a fine of $4,000 to between two and 10 years in prison and fine of up to $10,000, depending on how many homes packages were taken from.
